A Message From the President
The CLSA is back! We continue the process of rebuilding after a contentious separation from our former management company which resulted in a loss of much of our records and archives.
Records, archives, our membership, the EyeWitness and building our website are an ongoing process. We've made much progress on these vital aspects of the infrastructure of the organization. If you have not already done so, I invite you to explore our website,
online bookstore, the
CLSA University, and our new online
Member Directory, which will help peers as well as potential patients connect with our current members through their professional details. (Log in and
check your account to opt in or opt out of this!)
The challenges of the COVID pandemic have kept us from meeting in person as we would like during the last couple of years. Great news on this - your CLSA Board is currently planning an in-person meeting to be held in Columbia, South Carolina later this year. Watch your emails for the exact location and date.
The CLSA would like to invite you to get involved! Have you considered writing an article for publication in the EyeWitness? Perhaps you have a case history of an interesting patient you would like to share with your colleagues. One of the most valuable aspects of the CLSA is how we share information to broaden the field and help our fellow professinoals. We would like to hear from you!
We are always looking for individuals to assist in creating materials, planning future meetings, and ensuring the success of the Contact Lens Society of America! Contact us at
ExecAdmin@clsa.info or feel free to email me personally if you would like to get involved.
I look forward to seeing you in person at our upcoming meeting!
Sincerely,
Terri Klein, COMT, FCLSA
